Afterpay is a digital payment system that allows you to enjoy your smile now and pay for it later. The cost of your dental treatment can be spread over four equal fortnightly payments with AfterPay. If you pay on time, you will not be charged any additional fees or interest. The approval for Afterpay takes seconds, and after you have been approved, you can immediately start using Afterpay.

How Does It Work?

First-time users will need to download the Afterpay App on their mobile device and create an Afterpay account. You can then enjoy an instant approval decision. On the other hand, returning customers will simply need to log in to their Afterpay account to use it for payments.

Afterpay will conduct a pre-authorisation on your nominated credit card during their approval process, up to the amount of your first instalment. All Afterpay payments are subject to Afterpay’s approval. For example, suppose a patient misses a payment. In that case, they will not be able to use Afterpay to pay for dental treatments until the payments are up-to-date.

You can log in to your Afterpay account at any time to view your payment schedule and make a payment before the due date. Otherwise, Afterpay will automatically attempt to process payments from your credit card or debit card on the scheduled dates. If payment is not received by the due date, late fees will apply. Charges for late payments are fixed, capped, and do not accumulate over time.

Eligibility Requirements for Afterpay Payment

You must meet the following requirements to use Afterpay:

You must be at least 18 years old;
Must have a valid and verifiable email address as well as an Australian mobile phone number;
Provide a valid Australian delivery address; and
Have access to an Australian payment method, for example, by being the holder of a Visa or Mastercard credit card or debit card.

How to Sign Up

It is as simple as signing up for Afterpay, booking an appointment at Magical Smiles, and scanning your Afterpay barcode at reception.

Step 1: Install the Afterpay app on your phone and create an account.
Step 2: Schedule a consultation with Magical Smiles
Step 3: Before your appointment, use your Afterpay app to check your spending limit by tapping the barcode icon.
Step 4: Begin your dental treatment
Step 5: After your dental treatment is completed, have our helpful staff scan your barcode. Your first fortnightly payment will be deducted from your nominated credit card at the time of your visit. You will be able to see your payment schedule on your Afterpay App once it has been approved.
