Each one is crafted off-site from an impression of your bite, then bonded into place — usually across two visits. Who tends to suit porcelain?
Porcelain may come into the conversation when several teeth are being considered together, when whitening is not the only question, or when you want to compare veneer materials. It is a longer-term step: a small, controlled amount of enamel is usually reshaped so the shell sits naturally, and that part is not reversible.
It tends not to be the first answer for a single small chip, for anyone wanting a reversible first step, or for teeth that are still changing — younger patients are usually advised to wait. Where a gentler start makes more sense, we'll say so: composite bonding covers many of the same concerns in a single, more conservative visit.

How does the two-visit process work?
Most porcelain veneer plans come together over a consultation plus two treatment visits, with the ceramic crafted off-site in between. Nothing is bonded until you've seen and approved the plan.
The consultation comes first
We look at your teeth and bite, listen to what you'd like to change, and confirm whether porcelain — or another option entirely — genuinely fits. You'll see indicative costs and finance options in writing before deciding anything.
Visit one: preparation and impressions
The teeth involved are gently reshaped, detailed impressions or a digital scan are taken, and a shade is matched with you. Temporary covers protect the prepared teeth while your veneers are crafted.
Crafted off-site
A dental laboratory forms each shell from your impressions — shape, translucency and shade tuned to sit naturally alongside the teeth you're keeping.
Visit two: fitting
Each veneer is tried in, checked for fit, bite and shade, and only then bonded into place. Small refinements happen on the spot — we take the time to get this right before you leave.
