Available Payment Methods for Your Dental Treatment

*Treatment recommendations are based on clinical assessment of your oral health needs. Payment options are available to assist with recommended treatment, but payment availability does not determine whether treatment is necessary or appropriate. Your dentist will discuss clinically indicated treatments during the consultation.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian Government programme that provides eligible children aged 0-17 with up to $1,158 (indexed yearly) in benefits over two consecutive calendar years for basic dental services. Children must be eligible for Medicare and receive, or be part of a family receiving, certain Australian Government payments.

The CDBS does not cover orthodontic treatment, cosmetic dental work, or dental services provided in a hospital. Contact our team to learn more about how the CDBS works and whether your child qualifies for these benefits.

Afterpay lets you spread the cost of your dental treatment into four equal payments, making care more manageable. You can pay for treatment recommended by your dentist over time without delay, helping you manage your budget with greater flexibility.

Important Information About Afterpay

Before choosing Afterpay, it’s helpful to understand the requirements and terms involved. Afterpay approval is subject to eligibility checks, and fees may apply if payments are missed, so it’s worth considering whether this option suits your financial circumstances.

The National Dental Plan (NDP) offers interest-free payment plans for dental treatment, allowing you to spread costs over weekly, fortnightly, or monthly instalments. This can make larger treatments more accessible by breaking down the total cost into smaller, regular payments that fit your budget.

Early Superannuation Release via SuperCare

In exceptional circumstances, eligible Australians may access superannuation early for medically necessary dental treatment. SuperCare is a third-party service that can assist with applications to your fund.

*This permanently reduces your retirement savings and should only be considered after exploring all other payment options and seeking independent financial advice.

Understanding Treatment Eligibility

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) sets eligibility criteria for early superannuation release, which your fund applies when assessing applications. Not all dental procedures are eligible for early release.
